Put on the Armor of God. Part 2

A follow up to yesterday's post...

Before I went to bed, I sat at my desk with the checklist from the Hoy Spirit regarding the Armor of God. I prayed using the relevant scriptures to each line. I went to sleep.

The attacks came but as I began to pray in response I addressed each line of the checklist. I altered my prayer based again on scripture but this time refuting the specific warfare that I was seeing in the spirit.

Suddenly, the image of me in the spirit is literally wearing armor. A helmet, a breastplate. I was carrying a shield and a sword. I was wearing the sandals, the belt.

And I was fighting back violently, taking down demons and devils. Each line of scriptural prayer was a strike that hit the target.

I share this to illustrate the power of listening and obeying the Holy Spirit. Without that checklist, last night, would just have been another night of being overrun by the terror of night (Psa 91:5). Instead it was a night of the violent take it by force (Matt 11:12).
